I faced up to the ends.
I had to. There was this big complicated mess looking out over my basket of crochet that was making me feel unsettled. I either got on with it there and then or faced doing hundreds by the time I finish crocheting all these granny squares. Has taken the best part of a week it is SO dull.
And so faced with the prospect of crocheting maybe thirty or more squares above with 6 different colours and therefore 12 seperate ends each I spied a naked cushion filler and laid the squares over it. Et voila. Now all I need to do is sew up the squares and sew a cushion slip and I'm in business for two cushion covers. Considering I have had my sofa sans proper cushions for the last 3 years it's about time it was adorned with some handmade goodness.
Will be a nice feeling to actually get around to finishing something. I have three cushion fillers I bought literally years ago with the intention of making cushions and it has taken until now to finally get my **** in gear.
The other grannies are coming along nicely. I want this throw to be huge. Happy colours for snuggling up in. Making these are the perfect mini projects. And all their ends are sewn in so they pile up beautifully neatly, which is always nice.
I have stacks and stacks of other ideas flying around my head but I have got to get out of the habit of half starting and just concentrating on one thing! Sound familiar??
