I'm trying to finish all my UFO's (that's unfinished objects) before I start anything new in 2013. So I pulled this flipping jumper back out of submission in November, I finished the back neckline which had eluded me and now I just have two sleeves and a neckband to do.
I have unfortunately tried to knit the sleeves FOUR TIMES.
I keep making mistakes with the increasing and more particularly the pattern. I got about 25 inches knitted before I noticed the cable pattern was just going plain wrong.
I can see that this jumper is going to turn out nicely.
The amount of times I have sworn over this garment is unreal, I absolutely hate the way the pattern is written. I am using post its, photocopied pages so I don't have to keep flipping backwards and forwards and an app to count the rows, the rows in the pattern and the rows that I need to keep track of for the increases. I've self imposed a rule not to knit after 9.30pm which is when I seem to make my mistakes, this will slow things down but it may actually mean that by the end of the month I have two sleeves. I know: hopeful. As with all these things I have real life to get a handle of in the evenings but I am very much hoping little and often will be the answer to my prayers with this. No shirking, I will pick it up every evening and I WILL FINISH!
