Wow, this is the first crafting post for a LONG time.
Don't know what happened to January, there seemed to be a fair amount of bad news and snow from what I can recall. I just kept my head down and took the children to school, met friends and tried to squeeze in some crochet. We seem to be always busy, in a lovely, frantic and exhausting way. I haven't posted recently due to a not overly unlikely fear that the computer WILL self combust if I load anymore photos on it. I really must back it up and tidy up my files a bit... I'm not really that good at file management it just feels so DULL.
Anyhow, this is what I am working on:
I am currently bordering the granny a day 2012. It looks lovely and neat doesn't it? I do love a good border, it is taking flipping ages though, thousands of stitches required to get around the fours sides. Next colour to add is a yellow before adding a steel blue trim. Ruby's border will be slightly different. Despite not being bordered the blankets are still functional and are being used!
Oh the bloody jumper. It must have taken 7 attempts to finish one sleeve and this is the 6th or so attempt at sleeve number 2. Something always seems to go awry with the pattern row and increase row counting, I must get confused and then the cabling gets messed up (see above) It is really a project that won't work being picked up and put down, you need to sit solidly with it, without distraction and definitely without wine or children. I began again this morning and seem to have made progress. I must make sure I sit and work on it a couple more hours this evening - PLEASE can I finish this attempt with no mistakes! I want to finish the jumper SO MUCH and then NEVER LOOK AT IT AGAIN.
I am also very close to finishing a new blanket for my sisters baby. The little man will be on his way soon and I'm keen to get it done. I am using my favourite patons smoothie and am enjoying all the bright colours.
Probably won't get very much done over the weekend as I am running the Brighton Half Marathon. This time it's for fun! WHOOP WHOOP.
Have a good one X

Love the colours you've used for your grannies. A granny a day? Even I might manage tio do that.
