Quite unbelievably after two and a half years living in our rented Brighton place we are finally moving into the home we got in May last year. It took ages for planning etc... to go through and the building work started in October but FINALLY it is liveable in! I know! I can hardly believe it's happening. Every afternoon after school I have taken the kids round to the house to keep an eye on progress and watch it's transformation and today when I go there is a handful of people cleaning it rather than making a mess!
Today I've had a couple of guys packing up all my worldly possessions (which is not suprisingly predominantly books, yarn and kitchen appliances) and then tomorrow that'll just get shifted two streets away and I can begin to 'make a house a home' as they say. May I just take this opportunity to drop a modesty bomb and mention that they commented on how nice the blankets I have made are. THANKYOU. Last time I moved I packed myself. I almost lost my sanity and let me tell you this is the best couple of hundred quid I have spent for a long time, no mucking about sorting etc.... just get someone else to stick it all in a box and have the bin bags handy when you unpack. Perfect.
I don't think my 'to do' list'll be lacking anytime soon.
Until next time X
