Oh my days I am surrounded by clutter. Clutter is just spewing from every box we unpack. Just like last time. Items that are not used, don't fit, are completely unneccessary, not wanted, not appreciated. Papers? Don't even get me started on that! Everything in the last few weeks has been thrown into the plastic box above and now the filing boxes that were stored above the wardrobe in our old room have resurfaced and there are more papers to sort through and file, or shred, or recycle. It's overwhelming! Why have I still got the kitchen installation booklets for the flat we lived in in London over 2 and a half years ago? Or the instructions for the shower room underfloor heating for a room that I have absolutely nothing to do with any longer? It's endless! I am uncovering all kinds of crap, all so distracting. I can't believe it's happened again, this age of consumerism and acquisition is a bit of a burden to me. Says she who went shopping on Thursday and settled more things into the space.
We (read:I) am taking every single thing that comes out of a box and examining it's usefulness and beauty all over again. Nothing is safe. I'll admit I've been a bit slack in the children's room (ahem) in which their toys burst and poured from packed boxes uncontrollably without much thought. I managed to surreptitiously chuck some stuff but I could have done alot better. However clothes....clothes I am on top of a bit more. So I thought I'd ebay a bit, all the £'s could add up! Galvanised by Karen Kingston's book I know that if I clear, I will make some money. It happened last time and I've taken my eye off the prize, fuss free, clear and organised living where riches flow. We've just moved and our cash flow has halted to a near stand still and it's probably because of all the bloody clutter and disorganisation messing with the chi! Now I have mountains of stuff to list and an ebay account that won't work this weekend. Fingers crossed it's up and running this week. If not it's leaving one way or the other out the door next weekend.
In other less clutter related, listen to how much clutter I have, I can't stop obsessing about the clutter news I have finished blankets. Truly, some crochet coming up on the blog soon.
