Not quite sure what's going on this morning, maybe all the clean living is paying off. I went for a run last night and here I am, Sunday morning, I've had my hot water and lemon and spent the last 50 minutes writing and it's only 7.05am.
What is that about? I like it. More of the day to enjoy.
This is a blanket that I made from the squares here. Originally they were going to form a large throw but then the edging yarn was discontinued and they've been waiting patiently to be stitched together to become a baby blanket I think, made especially for my friend's new arrival into the world, Joshua.
It's made again from Paton's smoothie, which for the last couple of years has been my yarn of choice for a number of projects, despite the fact it is an acrylic. I find it's so soft, so versatile, I've loved the colours, all in all I've loved working with it... but I seem to have moved on to a more muted palette and I'm working on another blanket at the moment in drops paris. If you follow me on instagram (@amysinsta) I've been posting there but I'll be sure to put some photos up this week.
The only colour still for sale in Patons smoothie that features in this blanket is the green. Such a shame the pink and the gold have been discontinued. They were my favourites.
What's your favourite yarn to work with? I'm always looking for new yarn to try.
Here's a picture of gorgeous Joshua on his blanket. Doesn't he look like his brother??
Have a great Sunday.
